Proper Education
George Akers presents a historical analysis of the educational climate at the time Ellen White wrote her well known essay Proper Education. He gives perspective to her use of sources and her special gift of interpretation. Akers also addresses two challenges Adventist education faces in optimizing White's counsels in education: the need for a working hermeneutic on White's writings and an in-depth analysis of the impact of Ellen White's writings on education.
