To the Seafloor in a Cardboard Box! Teaching through Simulations

This 2012 NAD Teachers Convention presentation shows that simulations are powerful teaching devices that can activate all learning domains and integrate content areas through very active learning. See the model, a simulation the author developed with his academy science students, which focuses on building deep submergence vehicles to study hydrothermal vents and marine archaeology. Be sure to go to the link provided at the bottom of the handout and make models!
