Making Change for the 21st Century - AE21

This article provides the philosophical premise for Adventist Education for the 21st Century (AE21), a curriculum initiative designed to produce change in curriculum, design, and instruction within the Adventist educational system in North America. It details the four domain competencies (physical, mental, spiritual and community), the seven focus areas that make up this initiative and suggestions to achieve the goals of AE21. The philosophy and domain components are presented along with discussion on the challenges faced and creative instruction methods utilized.
