Ties That Should Bind our Academies and Colleges: Cooperation and Collaboration
This article lists a dozen examples and benefits of how colleges and academies achieve true collaboration through teamwork. These are combined community service efforts, cross-age tutoring practicums, sharing of resources with sister institutions, committing to reciprocal recruitment efforts, offering academy-based college courses, transferring transcripts electronically, developing cross-age soul-winning teams, combining college and academy students for "It's Academic", co-teaching faculty/student workshops, collaboration on academic standards, designing pedagogical exchange, and providing for cultural dialogue.
