A World Survey on the State of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

This paper examined the results of a survey, which analyzed the five-year strategic plan developed by the General Conference. The goal of the plan was to establish practical objectives under three main headings: (1) Quality of Personal and Church Life, (2) Unity in the World Church, and (3) Growth of the church. A survey was developed corresponding with the three main goals and sent to pastors. Using the data from 3045 participants from 56 union conferences/missions, researchers were able to assess the strength and weakness contrasted with a previous study. It was concluded that Church leaders at all levels who give careful study to this report will find abundant challenges and ample directions for work in accomplishing the goals of the Strategic Plan for the future mission of the church.
