Who Reads Ellen White

Most Seventh-day Adventists within the North American Division should be familiar with the name Ellen White and her contribution to the church. Her works are often sited in sermons and/or used in clarification or illumination of the Word. Despite backlash in some areas, her writings have garnered wide acclamation across a broad subset of the population. This article reports on an interesting and important finding on growth in North America. The finding? Those who regularly study the writing of Ellen White are also more likely to be stronger Christians in their personal spiritual life and in their witness to their communities than those church members who don't. This conclusion was derived from a survey of more than 8,200 Seventh-day Adventist attending 193 different churches.
