INFO Editorial: Quest for Quality - Research and Practice

"The exponential increase of knowledge is beyond imagination. Technological advancement has contributed even more significantly to this important growth. Knowledge that used to be less accessible to the public is now in reach of most people, all around the world. While this phenomenon has probably made people a little more knowledgeable today than they were before, it has brought a number of challenges. Two of them stand out. First, information overload is a challenge that most knowledge seekers are experiencing today. Today, there is too much knowledge accessible everywhere. It has become quite a daunting task to manage the information. Second, due to the fast increase of knowledge, quality has been compromised. When there is too much knowledge to manage in the production, quality is somehow affected somewhere."
