Media Messages - Do They Affect Our Youth?

How do media messages affect society, particularly young people? The results show that by age 70, most people will have watched television for between 7-10 years of their lives. Other amazing statistics on significant factors such as exposure (time spent per day with media), objectionable content (violence, drug/substance use, pornography), advertising, and subtle reinforcement of cultural values are also discussed. Subtopics include television, movies, video games, advertising, media and moral development, teaching critical viewing, and other media related issues are discussed.
