When Bad Things Happen to Good Schools
Whether responding to a natural disaster or an incident of personnel misconduct, each school needs a Crisis Communication Plan that offers immediate and direct communication with parents, church, community, and the news media. During times of distress, members of a community need to know that the situation is under control. Other areas discussed include: Speaking With One Voice; Establishing a Team; What Should You Say?; Using Media Coverage; Knowing When to be Discreet; Considerng the Audience. Tips for talking with the media are also included.
