Profile 1: Curriculum Innovation

The classroom becomes a village at Paradise Adventist Academy. Students participate in an exciting simulation on what westward expansion was like during the year 1875. This activity includes a several-day long trip in a 19th Century wagon which students themselves rebuilt. Rest stops along an authentic, major 1849 trail to California. Students encounter issues such as government, child-care, immigrant concerns, agriculture, ethics, technology, death, and much more.
