JAE Editorial: Service Learning Makes a Difference

Reaching the goal of service-oriented schools will require changes in our schools. These changes include a model which is Christ-centered rather than liberal-arts based, administrators involved in more than plant and personnel management, teachers who are trained to evangelize students, and schedules which include service activities. Above all, students must be challenged to live out their Christian commitment through service to others.
