Verbal Routines
Research shows that verbal routines are effective classroom discipline practices. Presented in this article are several simple, yet effective, verbal routines in which a teacher consistently uses the same or similar words in a given situation to deal with a problem. Verbal routines for student misbehavior, on or off task behavior, and several other generic ones are given as well.
