Enhancing the Self-Esteem of Your Students

What teachers say to their students and how they say it can affect students' self-esteem. In diagnosed and non-diagnosed learning-disabled students, academic problems and the development of secondary emotional and/or behavior problems are compounded by teachers who demonstrate impatience or insensitivity. In addition to a list of stress warning signs, this article gives suggestions on taking time to understand problems a student may be having, and finding effective ways of alleviating stress and keeping students feeling positive.
