Discovering Geometry Through Patch-Pictures

This article discusses the use of geometric shapes to make pictures. Students learn that the 'prime figures' can be combined to make new shapes, and that shapes can overlap. In using their creativity, students can learn and understand aspects of geometry through the patch-pictures they make.
