Engaging Elementary Students in Geometry and Measurement
This article shares several activities drawn from a set of 158 lessons which seek to engage students and teachers in active mathematics learning. The activities include: classification of plane figures; classification of space figures; making an inch or centimeter ruler; circumference and diameter of a circle; surface area and volume of a cylinder.
