Creative Technical Writing as Problem Solving
This article shares the perspective that writing is a problem-solving activity. Instead of the traditional prewriting, writing, revising model, the authors present a problem solving model with four stages: preparation, incubation, illumination, and translation. Also addressed are problem solving strategies that will help both teachers and students develop as writers and creative problem-solvers.
