Addressing TV Violence in the Classroom

Alice Evans shares Susan Colonna's model for teaching second grade students to look critically at the content of their favorite television programs. The process of creating the model, implementing the model, and collecting data is shared. Finally, as students made decisions about their favorite programs, they also developed alternative activities to watching television. A condensed version of an article originally published in the Research Bulletin, May 1996 edition.
