The Church and Military Service

In this article from the JAE special higher education issue, the question of the Christian's relationship to war and violence is discussed. The traditional position has been noncombatancy and a high respect for human life. The October 1972 Annual Council action is included. The fine line of obedience to both God and country is examined. Conscience Project is a program aimed at supporting personal decision-making.
