Helping Students to Think Critically
Teachers are not the exclusive providers of knowledge, but are experienced guides who develop students' skills and attitudes needed for lifelong self-directed inquiry. Interest must be stimulated, an environment created, written assignments with teacher feedback, and personal commitment are all important issues. From the JAE special critical thinking issue.
