Extracurricular Activities - Not Just Frills
Extracurricular activities serve a necessary function for the Adventist church and educational system. Colleges need to offer co-curricular opportunities as today's students are tomorrow's future leaders of church and society. Students learn important life-skills while participating in extracurricular activities such as seminars, clubs, notable speakers, and research presentations. Creating memories is an important contribution of campus activities outside the classroom. Committees should be appointed to coordinate activities. Specific criteria to define what is appropriate for an Adventist campus should be developed.
