Putting Spice into College Teaching

Ideas for making lectures a lively learning experience for college students. Generalizations are that no teacher can meet the needs of all the students all the time; the best teacher is the one with integrity and a strong character; and, teachers must never talk down to their students. Components of lively lectures are knowing your subject, living your subject, using anecdotes, using gimmicks, providing necessary information, and loving your students.
