JAE Editorial: History Is Not Bunk

Questions are raised about the student's attitude to history. History is more than recalling dates. The historical narrative of the Bible provides us with an understanding of God, His dealings with and hopes for His children. Both secular and religious history helps us learn from others' experiences and how people learn to handle unfamiliar circumstances. Social science classes are an opportunity to shape the youth for useful service to the community and citizenship in Christ's eternal kingdom.
