Math-Related Problems of Dyslexia

Strategies for helping the learning-disabled child master math. Math difficulties may be traced to dyslexia and/or reading related problems, may be part of an overall learning disability, but for some math may be the only subject in which they have problems. Problems related to sounds and symbols, to vocabulary, and other difficulties such as visual, perception, and auditory processing difficulties are discussed. Using a multisensory approach among other ideas to help students with reading and math problems are presented. From the JAE dyslexia and learning disabilities issue.
