Managing Cultural Differences in Christian Schools: A Religious-Psychological-Social Approach

Understanding how to manage cultural differences is necessary for success in today's diverse, multicultural schools. Understanding the central traits of culture is imperative for all educators, from the school secretary to the board chairperson. Observations on culture discussed are that everyone has a culture, culture is a lens, culture is a means of communication, people think their way is the best, people are protective of their culture, and no culture is completely bad. The authors examine various approaches to managing cultural differences. These include the religious, psychological, and social approaches.
