North American Religious Liberty Association - West

This web site is sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church State Council, the oldest public policy organization in the western United States devoted exclusively to issues of religious freedom. We combine advocacy in the courts and legislatures, with service to those experiencing religious liberty problems. We also pursue an aggressive communication strategy to provide education on First Amendment issues. As Seventh-day Adventists, we stand in the Reformation tradition of protesting the combination of church and state power to define or promote theological "truth," or to punish "error." We ask nothing of the state except that it protect religious freedom for all peaceful people of faith. We take our faith seriously, and we defend the right of others to take their own faith just as seriously.
