Language and Faith - Teaching Languages in Faith-Based Colleges and Universities

Andreasen discusses key issues relating to language and faith. Christians should care more about the people than their language. Common reasons given for learning languages are evaluated, including to succeed in business, to influence or control others, to become an international person, to get around in the world, to gain cultural sophistication, and to change the world. Examples from Scripture are used to develop a biblically integrated rationale for language study, one that mirror the Adventist world view, goals that could guide any language teacher.
