Teaching Outside the Walls
The flipped classroom, a schedule “in which students watch a video or study a lesson prior to discussing the topic in class the following day” can work well with field trips, or what one educator refers to as “being there experiences.” The author includes in the article steps to planning a field trip, alternatives to leaving campus when that is not an option, and how to reinforce learning after a field trip.
