JAE Editorial: Assessing Adventist Higher Education

Fowler shares a report from the first ever Summit on Seventh-day Adventist higher education held in Loma Linda, California, March 19-21, 1997. Two major themes dominated both the individual and group presentations: Why are we operating colleges and universities? Are we accomplishing our objectives? The consensus was that at the beginning, during, and at the close of every year, it would serve colleges well to assess themselves in the following areas: identity, accountability, spirituality, and excellence. Spiritual Openness: The Question of Questions
Helping the Church Think--The Intellectual Task of Christian Higher Education
