An epidemic of teenage suicide necessitates a comprehensive approach that involves the family, school, and community resources. The pressures and changes experienced in adolescence contribute to this problem. Suicidal teens perceive themselves to be helpless, their situations as hopeless, and lives that are hapless. They don't think logically about their situations. Restoring communication between the suicidal person and 'the significant other' is the simplest way to resolve the crisis. Myths about suicide as well as do's and don'ts are presented. An educational program should be developed.
