The Bible and Media Literacy

Steyn looks at teaching media literacy and how that relates to the Seventh-day Adventist philosophy of education. The goal is not to make a list of do's and don'ts in regards to what people should watch. "Ignorance is not a virtue, as this simplistic approach does not recognize the powerful and intrusive socializing influence of the media. Media literacy demands thoughtful and prayerful study and investigation of Biblical principles. Attention must be given to the issues raised in the various approaches to the media, as well as those specifically relevant to a Seventh-day Adventist perspective."
