Inspiration/Revelation, Part 1: What It Is and How It Works: The Prophetic Gift in Operation

This continuing education study material is intended to serve as a refresher course for classroom teachers who are called upon in religion courses to explain the methodology God employs to communicate His divine truths and expectations. Part 1 examines the prophetic ministry of Ellen G. White, in a day when her prophetic gift and contribution to Seventh-day Adventist church is being increasingly questioned and challenged. At the completion of this article, teachers will be able to differentiate between inspiration/ revelation and illumination; understand the seven modalities employed by God to communicate throughout the ages; and, apply the test of authentic prophethood.
