Profile 2: Outreach Program
Upper Columbia Academy's decision to make community service and witnessing opportunities integral parts of their curriculum brought numerous positive results such as improved morale, increased enrollment, and a positive financial outlook. The H.O.P.E. Taskforce program, initiated by Linnea Torkelson, currently provides between 25-35 service options for students throughout the year -- from building houses with Habitat for Humanity to serving hors d'oeuvres at formal functions.
