The New Testament and Culture
An understanding of culture can aid the study of the New Testament. It helps us interpret Scripture, create an interest in Scripture, and implement the principles of Scripture as we struggle to live out the gospel in our own cultural situation. Examples of each of these are provided. Suggestions for how teachers can use this perspective to enhance Bible study in the classroom are included as well as sources for additional reading.
