Birth of Jesus - Readers Theatre

A Christmas Readers Theatre, based on Matthew 2, in presentational, interactive, and echo format. Each reading covers approximately the same content but with a different style to suit a different audience. It is up to the worship leader to determine which script is appropriate to enhance the goal(s) of the service. The triad consists of:
1. The Presentation Reading is a performance reading involving typically 4 readers. Only these readers have the script.
2. In the Interactive Reading, the audience responds to the narrators or readers in front. Each person is provided with a script. Often the audience takes on the role of a character in the story.
3. The Echo Reading has audience participation but they do not have the script. The narrator(s) up front carry the story line while the audience participates by repeating what the Voice Leader says. This format also accomodates beginning readers well.
