Cradled Science: Examining the Cosmos in the Context of Faith

Del Ratzsch addresses the Christian's responsibility to be reflective, discerning, and appreciative when seeking to understand theories, limitations, and the basic character of science. In discussing concepts such as inductivism, falsificationism, post-empiricism, and post-modernism, Ratzsch notes that being informed about the philosophical underpinnings of scientific theories, within the context of one's worldview, is important. The author notes that finding the balance of letting theology informed science, and vise versa, is the challenge each science educator faces.
