Caffeine - A Drug of Educational Concern

This article considers why Adventist youth are relaxing their attitude toward caffeine. A survey conducted by the Institute of Alcoholism and Drug Dependency at the 1984 Pan-American Youth Congress indicated that caffeine is not perceived as a dangerous drug. Caffeine's chemical makeup, its health hazards, common sources, and its effects on learning are discussed. Factors that promote abstinence from addictive drugs among Adventist youth are outlined.
