Contracting: A Way to Increase Student Learning
A contract is an agreement between a teacher and the student or parent dealing with goals, behavior, or work that will be accomplished in a certain length of time. Types of contracts are goal-setting, behavior, daily work, and weekly work. Examples of different contracts are presented. Advantages of contracting for the teacher and the student are given.
